The Routeburn Track, Holllyford Valley, Fiordland National Park
Sometimes when I come around the corner of a track or over the rise in a road a scene unfolds in front of me that simply takes my breath away. My efforts with paint brush and charcoal are my humble attempts to capture that moment and recreate the wonder I see in nature.
To see my recent paintings click on the regions in the menu and paintings of that area will be displayed.
Since early sell out exhibitions in the 70’s and 80’s I continue to paint but now for the pure enjoyment of capturing nature as I see it. I no longer hold exhibitions as I found the exercise became too commercial, so now I paint for pure enjoyment.
I love it when people who have purchased a painting many years before, contact me to tell me that they still get immense enjoyment out of looking at their piece.
If you would like to view or purchase one of the pieces in my web site, I recommend that you visit my home to view the original; in this way you can see the brush work detail and vibrancy of colours used. I am happy to package up and send out a painting to you if you would like to purchase a piece from the web site – my contacts are listed on the Contacts page – love to hear from you.
